We hope you'll just us tomorrow, Friday, September 10th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the opening reception for Mercy Mercer, featuring twelve photographs by Derek Henderson. The exhibition will be on view from September 11th through October 24th, 2010.
Henderson's photographic exploration of the Waikato River region in New Zealand blends the majestic with the ordinary. The exhibition's twelve images balance form and content, interacting to form parallel portraits of a land rooted in history and tradition, yet actively changing and evolving. The empathy in the portrayal of the river and its neighbors remains a constant thread throughout the work. Read more about the exhibition here.
